Red Hat Linux
RedHat Linux Server is well-known as one of the most stable platforms available. It's recommended for sites with mostly HTML and without a lot of server-side scripting except of course for CGI/Perl which is native to the Linux Server.

This is a basic comparison of features supported by Linux and Windows 2003. We recommend Linux for sites that are mostly HTML and/or CGI scripts. For sites with databases, ASP coding or if you use FrontPage to publish your site, you must use the Windows platform.
Be aware that although CGI scripts are supported on both platforms some of the syntax's may be slightly different. Ensure before signing up that your CGI scripts will support the platform you choose.
